Known Slant and Checkdown Merchant Drew Brees says the Eagles offense is boring, doesn’t include Jalen Hurts in his top NFL quarterbacks list 

Drew Brees made his first appearance on the always-terrible cable sports show First Take and decided to immediately stop at the engagement farm to make sure that his debut wasn’t a total flop.

Drew Brees immediately gave a list of his top NFL quarterbacks right now, which shocker, did not include Jalen Hurts. He then continued to say that while he “respects” Philly, he can’t stand to watch the offense because it’s so “boring.”

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Drew Brees has never watched the Eagles’ offense operate in the first place. I really don’t understand how anyone who actually pays attention calls it boring.

If I had to guess, someone behind the scenes told Drew Brees that the best way to make a “stunning debut” is to criticize the Eagles and leave Hurts off any list because that’s what drives engagement on social media. Brees, completely clueless and lacking any type of dignity, agreed to do that and now we’re here.

Even then, nothing Drew Brees said makes sense.

Are we talking specifically about the first three weeks of this season? If so, then maybe, but overall with Jalen Hurts and company running the show, it literally doesn’t make a lick of sense to reach that assumption. 

Does any of it matter? Of course not. Drew Brees can kick rocks for all I care. Again, his comments are nothing but engagement farming at best.

Jalen Hurts has won 17-straight games where he started and finished. The Eagles are 22-3 over the last two seasons including a Super Bowl win, and overall, Hurts has already been to two Super Bowls in his young career while the Slant/Checkdown Merchant Drew Brees played for two decades and only found himself in one. 

It’s really not even about the stats either. You can bring up an elite list of quarterbacks that have put up crazy stats and every single one of them have zero rings. I’m sorry but everyone in the NFL is playing for Super Bowl rings and unless you have one, then you’re immediately ranked lower than the players who do.

Eagles fans get it. We literally do not give a fuck about stats.

Jalen Hurts and everyone on the offense is completely bought in to winning football games. In the end that’s all that really matters. The social media analysts and downright frauds in the media can literally kick rocks. We have games to win.
