Nick Sirianni details the Eagles offensive approach moving forward during 94.1 WIP segment

Nick Sirianni has come a long way with his ability to handle a press conference. That comes with time and experience over the years and at this point, he’s not someone that will reveal much, if anything at all, in regards to the Eagles.

Honestly, I like it that way. Forget the “word salad” and typical responses that we get from coaches. The media will hate the fact that Sirianni doesn’t give them anything but clearly, it’s become part of the winning formula for the Birds and that’s all you can really ask for at this point.

That said, everyone knew the boring narrative that Philly Sports Talk Radio would run with this week. Eagles fans knew at halftime after the Birds were ghosts through the first two quarters against the Los Angeles Rams.

After they mounted a 19-point comeback and really, looked like a completely different team in the second half, everyone and their mothers wanted to know what changed with the play calling.

Did Jalen Hurts call the plays in the second half? Is Kevin Patullo going to actually adjust the game-planning and open up games with a more aggressive approach?

Nick Sirianni on the Eagles going more “No Huddle”

Look, this Eagles offense will never be the “Chip Kelly” offense. Which of course, is perfectly fine. I do think there’s something to be said about going tempo and you dictating the game rather than letting opposing defenses make adjustments and dictate the game. While the “Hurry Up” approach certainly benefited this team on Sunday, I think the aggressive passing approach is what really did it.

With that said, If I’m the OC of the Birds, I’m starting off the game against Tampa Bay passing the football and implementing a no huddle offense immediately. From there, once you sustain some rhythm and hopefully a lead, you can run the football and control the clock, which as we all know, is the bread and butter of the Jalen Hurts operation.
