Todd Bowles ‘respects’ the Tush Push, even though his team voted to ban it in March
Unfortunately, I respect Todd Bowles for this quote he gave about the Tush Push this week:
“I’m a fan of creativity. If somebody crafts something & they do it well & it’s within the rules, it’s up to the other side of the ball to stop them… They have something they do very well… If everyone else could do it, everybody would be doing it. It’s a challenge for all the defensive coaches to try to stop it, and that be me included”
Sadly for Bowles and the Tampa Bay organization, they are crybaby frauds who voted to ban the play in March.
Todd Bowles doesn’t speak for the franchise, but his ownership is pathetic
Kind of weird for Todd Bowles to say this, no? Why praise the Eagles when your own team voted to ban the play? Doesn’t add up.
Maybe he’s just trying to do some reverse psychology here. Praise the play in hopes he’ll be granted the power to stop it. To be fair, Todd Bowles’ Bucs did stop the play in the playoff matchup two years ago. Obviously, the Eagles were in a terrible spot at the time and had absolutely no juice. Still, he found a way.
It should be a great matchup down in Tampa this weekend. Two 3-0 squads, 1PM kickoff. Doesn’t get better than that.
