Nick Sirianni decisively silences AJ Brown discontent rumors

Another year, another cryptic Tweet from AJ Brown that Nick Sirianni has to take questions about. It’s not something any of us like dealing with, but this team has been here before and it’s never affected them.

On Monday, Sirianni was asked straight up if AJ still wants to be in Philly. The head coach silenced the rumors immediately.

“He wants to contribute into these wins. He’s had some games that he hasn’t been able to for various reasons. I have no questions about his desire to play great, his desire to be a great teammate, and desire to be here.”

I have no doubts the Eagles will figure this out. They’ve done a great job over the years managing Brown’s frustrations. It’s never boiled over into clear malcontent.

AJ Brown’s lack of contributions falls on everyone, including the wide receiver himself. There were plenty of examples against Tampa where he simply wasn’t open and Jalen Hurts still forced the ball his way. AJ also whiffed on a few blocks, one of which nearly got his quarterback killed.

For a team that talks about accountability and a player who likes to post cryptic tweets after the game about quietly withdrawing, this is a pathetic attempt at blocking by AJ Brown. That's a rookie receiver he outweighs by 36 pounds. How about showing a little pride and putting… pic.twitter.com/aIZHRfrHDF

This type effort doesn’t do Brown any favors. And I’m sure Nick Sirianni will point this out in the team’s film session. He needs to be locked in on every single play, not just when he gets going in the pass game.
