Shohei Ohtani tried to butter up the Philadelphia media and, sadly, it worked
The Dodgers are in town for the NLDS this Saturday, and Shohei Ohtani got a very warm welcome from the Philly media. Too warm, if you ask me. The worst part? All it took was some compliments about the fans and mentioning the clubhouse cheesesteaks.
Shohei Ohtani had the Philly media eating out of the palm of his hand like little puppy dogs… pathetic:
Shohei Ohtani knows Phillies fans are passionate, and he knows the atmosphere will be “passionate and rocking.”

He ALSO knows the cheesesteaks in the visitor’s clubhouse are great😂

Wow. I have to say I’m incredibly disappointed. I don’t expect an outright hostile press conference, but you’ve got to make this guy work for his laughs. No backbone whatsoever from the credentialed media.
Everyone in that room thinks he’s so fun. We here at The Liberty Line know the truth. Shohei Ohtani is the devil incarnate, and he is public enemy number one in Philadelphia until this series is over.
What Ohtani didn’t say is that the thing that makes him most excited to be in Philly is Citizen’s Bank Park’s proximity to the area’s premier casino and sportsbook. Instead, he had the room giggling like school children by barely saying anything.
Meanwhile, his interpreter is sitting there thinking about how he’s going to sneak into Live! Casino tonight to bet $250,000 on the game. I have sources in the sportsbook there that will flag any suspicious activity, which I’ll forward directly to the MLB League Office.
