Jalen Hurts reveals truth about private meeting with A.J. Brown & Saquon Barkley
The talk of the town on this short football week for the Eagles of course, has been about the meeting organized by Saquon Barkley that included both Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown. The purpose? to get the offense’s most important players on the same page.
Jimmy Kempski from PhillyVoice reported that the trio had a “long, positive conversation” that lasted a couple of hours. Whether that means they hashed out their frustrations or not, remains to be seen.
By the time the locker room opened Tuesday, A.J. Brown was nowhere to be found, while Hurts and Barkley did their best to downplay whatever went down behind closed doors.

Jalen Hurts, as usual, kept things close to the vest — stoic, focused, and unbothered by the media frenzy.
“Yeah, it’s just us talking about the collective,” Hurts said. “Talking about taking ownership for what we can and talking about how we move forward as a team so we continue to find ways to win games. It’s really just teammates being teammates. I don’t want to make this about that.”
That’s classic Jalen Hurts — no drama, no distractions, just control what you can control and block out the noise.
Barkley Keeps Perspective: “It’s About the Work”
While the internet tries to turn a casual talk into a soap opera, Barkley’s perspective is the one the locker room probably needs most right now.
“I don’t think it’s just that conversation,” he said. “I think it’s the work that we put in. Sometimes it just doesn’t hit off right away. I know it hasn’t shown in a consistent way throughout the first five games, but there’s been sparks. There’s been halves where we look untouchable, but there’s been halves where we look really bad.”
He’s not wrong. When the Eagles’ offense has looked right, it still feels like they can score on anybody. But when it doesn’t — it feels like they can’t even luck themselves into a first down.
So, while this isn’t luckily a secret summit that will fix all of the Eagles problems, I certainly think it’s a positive sign and yet another example of this team having championship D.NA.
And shoutout to Saquon for being the leader he is to organize this. We shall see what the product on the field looks like tomorrow night against the New York Giants, and just how productive this meeting was.
