Wild: Both players involved in Eagles-Texans trade 7 months ago have found their way to Baltimore’s practice squad
In March, the Eagles traded CJ Gardner-Johnson to the Texans in exchange for Kenyon Green. Neither player worked out.
Green never even sniffed the field before being cut, and CJGJ was abruptly cut from Houston just a few weeks ago. Now, both have found themselves a new home on the same practice squad.
Two former Eagles, two current Ravens practice squad players
Is this now the most useless trade in NFL history? It might be.
Neither player did anything for the team they were traded to, and evidently, weren’t good enough to play anywhere else anyway. It’s not all that shocking for Green, he was teetering on being a bust for a few years now. But for CJ, it’s hard to wrap my head around his fall from grace.
I was pretty annoyed when the Eagles got rid of him. I supposed I was wrong to think that way. Never doubt Howie.
