RAT POISON: Avoid DeMarcus Cousins and the false narrative brewing around Joel Embiid like the plague

Listen, man. I hate to even type this, but it needs to be said. DeMarcus Cousins has zero sources inside the Sixers organization.

I’m not doing this.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been one of the few beacons of joy over the last few weeks and I definitely don’t need Boogie “I’ll fight the entire arena” Cousins chiming in and starting controversy.

Demarcus Cousins has ZERO sources. It’s actually embarrassing that FanDuel TV and Full Court Pass are letting this kind of nonsense air without any type of pushback.

The “quote” going around from Boogie? Pure fiction.

Pretty sure, huh? Yeah, okay. “Pretty sure” is what you say when you don’t actually know anything. It’s what you say when your “source” is the voice in your head that’s mad Joel Embiid still has a career and you don’t.

Just watch. Like clockwork, there will be other media sources picking up this quote and forming their own narrative about Joel Embiid. That includes Philly Sports Talk Radio who is already trying to dish out rat poison about Embiid.

THEY HATE THE PROCESS

The Sixers are 3-0. They just beat the Hornets, the Hospital Celtics, and the Magic. They rank 26th in defense, so yes, there’s work to be done, but the idea that this front office is even entertaining the idea of moving on from Joel Embiid is laughable.

Joel Embiid just had 20 points and 4 assists in 20 minutes last game while shooting 3-for-6 from deep. He set screens, deferred when needed, and made life easier for everyone around him. That’s exactly the kind of unselfish, spacing-friendly version of Embiid this team needs.

Opening night, Boston played him like he was prime Hakeem, which opened up the floor for VJ Edgecombe to look like Wilt Chamberlain reincarnated in his first NBA game. Then they played Embiid straight up the next game, and guess what? He still put up 20 in 20 minutes.

He’s doing exactly what Nick Nurse needs him to do. Joel Embiid commands attention, creates space, and sets the tone.

This isn’t a situation. It’s not a “rift.” It’s not “trade talks.” It’s a bitter ex-player talking out of his ass for clicks.

DeMarcus Cousins has no insight into anything happening in Philadelphia. If he had Joel’s basketball IQ, maybe he’d still be in the league instead of pretending to be Woj on a FanDuel livestream.

Boogie never reached his full potential. He was talented as hell, but he burned bridges everywhere he went and never figured out how to elevate a team. So yeah, it’s easy to take shots at a reigning MVP when you’re sitting courtside collecting appearance checks.

• The NBA Deep State is REAL.
• The Plot Against Joel Embiid has been activated.
• The Sixers aren’t trading Joel Embiid.
• It’s been three games.
• VJ Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey are playing 41 and 42 minutes a night. That’s not sustainable long-term without Embiid’s presence inside.
• He still draws double-teams every possession, which gives Maxey and Edgecombe the freedom to cook.

You don’t trade that. You build around it.

This is what lazy TV content looks like. It’s nothing more than baseless speculation dressed up as “insider info.” The Sixers are rolling, Joel’s locked in, and anyone pushing otherwise is just trying to stay relevant.
