Tom Brady says he cloned his dead dog and thinks it’s totally normal

Former NFL quarterback and current freakazoid Tom Brady is making headlines and, this time, they have nothing to do with football. Instead, the Super Bowl champion revealed that his current dog, Junie, is actually a clone of his old dog, Lua, who died in December 2023.

Yeah, I know. Weird.

Tom Brady had Colossal Biosciences handle the colossally strange process:

Of course, this really is just a marketing ploy for a company he’s invested in. This is the same company that claimed to have brought back three dire wolf pups back in April. Using the best NFL QB of all time to show you can clone a dog is already odd, but the story just gets weirder.

The blood sample used to create Junie was taken from Lua before her passing. This means that Brady was planning on cloning the pooch before she even died.

I can’t imagine sitting there with a dog I love and thinking, “Damn, you’re getting old. I’m going to clone you after you die.” Genuinely psychopathic thinking from Tom Brady with this one.

Cloning is already freakish to me. I understand that canine clones are a pretty benign way of exploring the concept, but I can’t wrap my head around the idea of people actually spending time and money – even making money – from cloning dead dogs.

You know it’s bad when Barstool’s Dave Portnoy, the biggest Brady glazer in the history of the known universe, says this is “weird as fuck.”

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
