Nick Sirianni is just about done answering questions about AJ Brown
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni spoke to the media on Wednesday after a 10-7 win over the Packers on Monday Night Football. While there was a lot of ground to cover, reporters seemed intent on badgering him about a certain star wide receiver’s comments after another disappointing offensive performance.
Nick Sirianni let the media know he’s tired of their AJ Brown questions:
Nick Sirianni was further questioned about AJ Brown's latest comments and asked how it can still be "business as usual": "Guys I'm close to being done answering these questions about this. He's working hard and he is a big part of the gameplan, and will be going forward. He's… https://t.co/T0FIXARHJ4 pic.twitter.com/uZ7GIFV48J

I’ll be honest here, I totally get it. Regardless of how ridiculous Brown’s behavior has been, he’s clearly working his ass off in the building and still contributing to winning football.
I understand the media has to ask these questions, but they should be prepared to get shut down in the near future unless AJ does something extremely problematic. Sure, he’s been pissed off, but as long as he’s not lifting weights in his driveway, I’m not all that worried about it.
And it’s not like Sirianni & Co. have given the media much to work with when they ask these questions to begin with. Reporters are getting canned answers that protect everyone, which I expect and support, but there’s no real material difference between a non-answer and no answer at all.
There’s a side to this where AJ Brown is almost a sacrificial lamb for the rest of the team in the media. The offense has continued to suck, and, while that’s the main source of his frustration, he’s making himself the number one talking point and essentially shielding the rest of the team from criticism.
While this is a noble thought, I don’t actually believe it. I’m just sick, delusional, and try to see the good in situations that have absolutely none of it.
