Kevin Patullo addresses the Eagles’ offense by not actually addressing anything at all

Kevin Patullo has absolutely mastered the art of talking in circles — saying a whole lot without actually saying anything. Honestly, it might be the only thing he’s excelled at since becoming the Eagles’ offensive coordinator.

On Tuesday, like clockwork, he got the same question he gets every week: what’s wrong with the offense?

“When we’re on track, we do a pretty good job. And if we get off track, whether its a negative play or penalty, it puts us in a hole and we’ve had trouble with that. That starts with us a staff.. That’s kinda been the thing a little bit. We’ve had opportunities and we just haven’t made the most of them at times.. We know what we are capable of.. The guys are excited about that. They feel like we are moving in the right direction, we just need to explode when we need to.”

Translation: When we’re doing good, we’re good. When we’re doing bad, we’re bad. Magnificent stuff from Kevin Patullo. Really insightful, and honestly, that’s all I can ask for.

In all seriousness, I don’t know how anyone looks at this guy and doesn’t immediately think “Lame duck coach.” The dude has no sauce whatsoever. Bad on the sideline, bad at the podium — usually doesn’t lead to a long career.
