Eagles install a ‘positivity rabbit’ in the locker room to emphasize good vibes

The Eagles are 8-4, the offense looks like it forgot what rhythm feels like, fans are demanding someone be fired every six minutes, and Kevin Patullo had his house egged after the Bears loss.

It’s been a rough few weeks but hey, that is the current state of the franchise, so we’ll roll with the punches. The Eagles however, are taking a different plan to getting things fixed.

When the sky is falling and the Birds are trying to figure out the master plan to steady the ship, get the offense humming, and calm down the entire city on the verge of detonating, they took an alternate route by bringing in a giant inflatable positivity rabbit.

Honestly, I absolutely love it.

The Eagles have reached the point of the season where whatever works is what you go with. If a massive inflatable bunny is what gets the vibes turned around, then fill the entire locker room with inflatable animals.

Give me inflatable tigers, inflatable dolphins, inflatable eagles that spread their plastic wings over the offensive line. Set up a whole inflatable zoo if that is what it takes to beat the Chargers on Monday night.

Saquon Barkley tried to explain it and somehow made it even funnier.

He admitted he does not even understand the origins of the rabbit, but someone told him it is a vibe bunny and the vibes are high.

That is all the logic this team needs right now. You know what does not help anyone? Breaking down film with the energy of a funeral. You know what might help? A six foot tall inflatable rabbit staring at you, reminding you to smile before you run inside zone.

The offensive line apparently brought it in and insisted they are not sad, they just wanted a good vibes bunny. That is exactly the level of delusion and commitment I want heading into a primetime game with the season hanging in the balance.

People in this city underestimate how powerful the good vibes bunny might be. We have seen the Eagles rally around far less but again, whatever it takes to win on Monday.

Fill that locker room with so many inflatable animals that players have to squeeze between them to reach their lockers. If the positivity rabbit gets even one offensive drive unstuck, then it is already the greatest midseason acquisition in franchise history.

The Eagles are still sitting on top of the NFC East. Lane Johnson might return next week. The playoffs are still in sight. If this team needs a giant inflatable rabbit to remind them to breathe, reset, and remember they are actually good at football, then so be it.

I am fully in on the positivity rabbit. If it helps the Eagles end up winning the Super Bowl this season, remember the positivity rabbit.

I would be first to campaign for the city of Philadelphia to replace the Rocky statue with a positivity rabbit when it’s all said and done.
