I have to admit something. I had never heard of Nazeeh Johnson before today. No disrespect, but after watching the video he posted on social media about how the Chiefs defensive backs handle conflict, he might officially have a fan in me.

Johnson revealed that whenever there’s a disagreement in the DB room, they literally box it out. They grab the gloves, step into a controlled environment, throw hands for a couple minutes, and move on with their day like adults. No sulking. No side-eye. No group chat politics. Just settle it and get back to work.

I appreciate the hell out of that. Growing up, my brothers and I operated the exact same way. If we had an issue, we handled it. Sometimes it was a fight, sometimes it was a 1-on-1 in the driveway, but it was always face to face. We didn’t sit on resentment like weirdos. We got it out of our system, moved on, and stayed close because of it.

If more people actually confronted problems head-on instead of hiding behind text messages and passive aggression, the world would probably be a better place.

Let’s be real. The internet is full of people who spend their entire lives tweeting through their grudges. They never say anything to someone’s face, but suddenly become Navy SEAL tacticians the second their thumbs hit a touchscreen.

Which is why the reaction to this Chiefs video is hilarious.

I checked the comments expecting something thoughtful. Nope. Instead, we got takes like this absolute gem:

That might be the most perfectly miserable Chiefs-fan tweet imaginable. You can feel the pain radiating off the screen. They’re 6-7, their season is spiraling, and suddenly a video about team bonding becomes another reason to lash out at the world. I get it. I’d be upset too if my team’s dynasty got ended in New Orleans back in February.

Let’s not forget the real headline here: The Philadelphia Eagles might have officially ended the Chiefs dynasty, and Kansas City is staring at the playoff picture from the outside like a kid pressing their face against the window of a candy store.

So yeah, maybe the DBs boxing each other is the least of their problems right now.
