Pathetic: 94.1 WIP radio host Joe DeCamara delivers a delusional “message” for AJ Brown
94.1 WIP radio host Joe DeCamara recorded a “message” for Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown this week, and honestly, it’s getting harder and harder to keep up with what that radio station is even talking about anymore. That’s fine but the scary part is they probably don’t know either.
This is how WIP operates. They manufacture a narrative, run with it, forget the original premise, and then keep producing content built on top of the initial nonsense until the whole thing collapses under its own weight.
Rinse and repeat, every single offseason, every single year. It’s a machine that runs on drama that doesn’t exist, and Joe DeCamara sitting down to record a solemn message for AJ Brown is just the latest example of the bit going completely off the rails.
94.1 WIP radio host Joe DeCamara has a message for AJ Brown lol
Here’s the actual situation: AJ Brown did some podcast appearances. He made a couple jokes about getting traded to the Patriots.
Eagles fans thought it was funny because it was funny. That’s it. That’s the whole story.
There is no locker room crisis or war with the organization. There is no dragging of anyone through hypothetical mud either. The guy is active on social media during the offseason like a normal human being with a phone, and somehow that has turned into a full intervention from a Philadelphia sports radio host.
WIP stays in business by making fans feel like everything is on fire at all times. If the Eagles are winning, someone on the roster is secretly unhappy. If a player makes a joke, it’s actually a cry for help.
If nothing is wrong, they will find something, and if they can’t find something, they will invent it. Then they will lecture the player about it on the radio as if he is listening, as if he cares, as if anyone within the actual Eagles organization has ever once thought to themselves “you know what, let me tune into WIP and see what Joe DeCamara has to say about my life choices.”
AJ Brown is not dragging his teammates. He is not dragging the organization. He made some jokes and went on some podcasts. If that’s the crisis, we’re doing great.
Side Note: For the small group of fans who are genuinely upset about AJ Brown being himself on the internet during the offseason, relax. He’s a grown man and can do whatever he wants when he’s not playing football.
If you don’t like the podcasts, don’t listen to them. If you don’t like his social media, don’t follow him. It is a remarkably simple system. Getting emotionally worked up over what another adult chooses to do with his free time is not a personality, it’s a problem.
Soft does not even begin to cover it.
