Report: Eagles fill WR3 hole with Hollywood Brown on a one-year deal
The Eagles are adding Marquise Hollywood Brown on a one-year deal worth up to $6.5 million, according to Jordan Schultz. Brown had 49 catches for 587 yards and five touchdowns last season and fills the WR3 hole that opened up when Jahan Dotson left for Atlanta earlier in free agency.
Eagles are signing Hollywood Brown to a 1-year deal:
This is a smart, low-risk signing for a team that did not need to do much this offseason. AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith are still one of the best receiving duos in the entire NFL. Dallas Goedert is back. Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts are obviously still here too.
The offense was already loaded before this and now Hollywood Brown is the third option in what is genuinely one of the more terrifying offensive units in the league on paper… assuming Sean Mannion can repair what was severely damaged by Kevin Patullo.
Hollywood Brown is 28 and has dealt with injuries throughout his career but when healthy he is a legitimate deep threat who can take the top off a defense and create space for everyone else on the field.

At $6.5 million on a one-year prove-it deal, the risk is essentially nothing. If he stays healthy and contributes as a third option, the Eagles got a bargain. If it does not work out, they are not buried in dead cap money.
Dotson leaving created a real need and the Eagles addressed it quickly and efficiently. That is the front office doing its job. The offense is stacked and they just added another weapon to it. Hard to complain about any of this.
