Joel Embiid Chandler Parsons Alperen Sengun

Chandler Parsons said Alperen Sengun would beat Joel Embiid one-on-one and it took all but 3 seconds to prove how stupid his take was

Joel Embiid must be getting close to returning because the takes are already coming out of the woodwork.

Chandler Parsons went on his show recently and said Alperen Sengun would beat Joel Embiid in a one-on-one game. He said he has got The Gooner surviving and advancing. That is a real sentence that a former NBA player said out loud into a microphone and then let other people hear.

It took all but three seconds to show how ridiculously stupid Chandler Parsons is for even mentioning Joel Embiid and Alperen Sengun in the same sentence.

Joel Embiid averages 33.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in four career games against Alperen Sengun. Four games. The sample size exists and it is not ambiguous. Embiid has done whatever he wanted against this man every single time they have shared a court and Chandler Parsons watched all of it and still arrived at this conclusion.

Joel Embiid vs Alperen Sengun:

Joel Embiid is getting healthy. A clear indicator that never fails is the fact that the engagement farm officially opens for business.

Embiid has been officially listed as questionable for Wednesday night’s game against the Bulls. He participated in Monday’s shootaround and did a post-shootaround workout on the Xfinity Mobile Arena floor afterward. After missing over a month with a right oblique strain, a return appears to be imminent.

Joel Embiid is questionable for Wednesday, Paul George is back, and out of nowhere, the Sixers are getting healthy at the right time >>

You literally don’t even have to go back very far to realize how stupid Chandler Parsons is for saying shit like this. To start, Furkan Korkmaz said something similar back in September, which aged like milk.

Furkan Korkmaz is an idiot too

Furkan Korkmaz wildly disrespects Joel Embiid during postgame press conference for no reason >>

Obviously, Embiid saw his ex-teammate talking out of the side of his mouth and remembered what was said all the way until January 22, 2026.

Joel Embiid dropped 32 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists against the Rockets. He shot 10 of 19 from the floor and then after the game, hopped on Twitter to remind everyone what Furk said months prior.

We do not play games here, folks. Time to keep up

We’re Back: Joel Embiid plays 46 minutes, trolls Furkan Korkmaz after huge W, caps it off with an elite press conference >>

This is what the podcast industrial complex has done to the sports media landscape. Guys who played in the league for a decade and should know better are now just saying whatever generates a reaction because that is the business model.

Being right is optional. Being loud is mandatory. Chandler Parsons had a fine NBA career and apparently used none of the basketball knowledge he accumulated during it to form this opinion.

Sengun is a good player. Nobody is disputing that. He is not beating Joel Embiid in a one-on-one game. That is not a hot take. That is just reading the box scores from the last four times these two teams played each other.

We fear Chandler Parsons does not know ball. What a shame.
