Shane Lowry Hole In One Masters

Shane Lowry adds to his ridiculous hole-in-one resume with Masters ace at No. 6 on Saturday

Shane Lowry stepped to the tee box at the par-3 sixth hole on Saturday afternoon at the Masters, hit a perfect golf shot, watched it land in the center of the green, hop twice, and roll straight into the cup.

The crowd did not fully register what happened until his score on the leaderboard flipped from 6-under to 8-under. Then Augusta National lost its mind.

Shane Lowry’s reaction on the tee box was everything.

This is a man who has hit so many holes-in-one at iconic places that he should probably be investigated but instead he just keeps adding to the list.

ACE ALERT: Shane Lowry on No. 6

Shane Lowry’s Hole-In-One Resume is Ridiculous

His ace resume now reads: the seventh at Pebble Beach, the island green at TPC Sawgrass, the 16th at Augusta National a decade ago, the second at Memorial Park earlier this season at the Houston Open, and now the sixth at Augusta National on a Saturday afternoon at the Masters while in contention.

Five holes-in-one on some of the most famous holes in golf. Shane Lowry is built different.

Saturday’s ace was the seventh all-time on the sixth hole at Augusta and it pushed Lowry into a tie for second at the time. He went on to card a 4-under 68 and finished the day at 9-under, two shots off the lead heading into Sunday.

He will tee off in the penultimate group alongside Sam Burns. His best Masters finish was a T3 in 2022. He won the Open Championship in 2019. He is playing the best golf of his week at exactly the right moment.

Whether Lowry wins on Sunday or not, he already gave Augusta National one of the moments of the week. The man cannot stop making holes-in-one at legendary places and honestly we should all just accept that this is simply who he is.
