Eagles officially replace AJ Brown banner outside of The Linc with their new WR1

As Eagles fans rushed Lincoln Financial Field for open practice Tuesday night, they were greeted by the new DeVonta Smith banner hanging up on the side of the stadium.

With AJ Brown long gone, it was a matter of time before the organization replaced it. I don’t see anyone more fitting to dawn the new banner than Smitty.

I don’t know what it is, but I get a rush of excitement seeing this. Out with the old, in with the new. A new chapter in Birds football is upon us and I can’t help but be pumped up about it.

Now, is that the best Smitty image they could’ve chosen? No, The Dagger is, and probably always will be, the defining play of DeVonta Smith’s Eagles career. But I assume they wanted to capture something at The Linc, so for that, I will let it slide.
