76ers draft Arkansas guard Isaiah Joe with 49th pick

With their 2nd selection of the night, Philadelphia added another shooter drafting sophomore guard Isaiah Joe. The 6’5 wing from Arkansas is known for his offensive talent, especially from the perimeter.
Joe shot 34% from 3 this past season and 37% his entire career at Arkansas. At 21 years old there is a lot of room to grow and the talent is definitely there. Joe will join Seth Curry, Danny Green, and Furkan Korkmaz as the key shooters for the 76ers but will likely see some time in Delaware before joining the Sixers in South Philly.
Isaiah is also known for free throw shooting, averaging 89% from the line last season. The major concern with Joe is his streakiness from deep. His 3 point percentage dropped from 41.5% to 34% from 2019 to 2020. The hope is Philadelphia can straighten it out.
On defense, Joe is average but his lengthy frame allows him to clog up passing lanes and has a great frame to build on. With Sam Cassell coaching up Maxey and Joe, I would expect they can turn into fantastic players for Philadelphia and be great bench pieces going forward.
Earlier this week it was reported the 76ers gave Isaiah Joe a draft promise and now he has a home.
