Eagles announce schedule for 2021 season

After several leaks earlier today, the Eagles have officially announced their schedule for the 2021 season. In the new 17 game schedule, the Eagles will host eight home games and be on the road nine times. Philadelphia’s 2021 schedule looks far easier compared to the brutal stretch they went through last season. Here is a look at the entire schedule for next season.
- Week 1: @ Atlanta
- Week 2: vs. San Francisco
- Week 3: @ Dallas (Monday Night Football)
- Week 4: vs. Kansas City
- Week 5: @ Carolina
- Week 6: vs. Tampa Bay (Thursday Night Football)
- Week 7: @ Las Vegas
- Week 8: @ Detroit
- Week 9: vs. Los Angeles Chargers
- Week 10: @ Denver
- Week 11: vs. New Orleans
- Week 12: @ New York Giants
- Week 13: @ New York Jets
- Week 14: Bye
- Week 15: vs. Washington
- Week 16: vs. New York Giants
- Week 17: @ Washington
- Week 18: vs. Dallas
Notable matchups above include the previous two Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Week 2’s matchup against the 49ers will be the first Eagles game to have a full stadium of fans for over a year. Giants fans are eager to face Philly after spurring them from the playoffs last season and snagging DeVonta Smith one pick ahead of them. New York will get their chance for revenge during their week 12 matchup in the Meadowlands.
A late bye week could hurt the Eagles early on in the season, but if they somehow find themselves in the battle for the NFC East, it can be a significant bonus. An opportunity to rest their guys before four straight division games could give the Eagles an upper hand over their rivals. Philadelphia is ranked as having the easiest strength of schedule in the NFL next season based on 2020 records. Despite that, the SOS change very quickly depending on how teams like the 49ers and Chargers improve from last year.
