Jalen Reagor to be used more creatively on offense: “new coaches tell you why they’re doing something”

Eagles WR Jalen Reagor spoke with the media during OTA’s Tuesday afternoon and had positive remarks about the new coaching staff. When asked about new head coach Nick Sirianni and the staff, Jalen raved about how they “do everything with intent and tell you why. They don’t just say go do this without any direction.”

Reagor also mentioned that he was pleased with the Eagles retaining WRs coach Aaron Moorehead. Last year’s first-round selection did confirm that he won’t be limited to the outside in his sophomore season, lining up in the slot at times and working on being a complete receiver.

When asked about the departure of Carson Wentz & Doug Pederson, Reagor stated that he doesn’t feel like he’s starting over and isn’t going to use that as an excuse:

“My dad was in the league, I know the NFL is a business. At the end of the day I got a job to do.”

To conclude the conference, Reagor was asked about his relationship with Jalen Hurts:

“The one thing I see with him … he does a lot of stuff with intent, and then he has fun with it. Having that morale and having his personality, I feel like everybody is going to gravitate to him. He’s a natural-born leader.”

The TCU product caught 31 passes for 396 yards and a touchdown in 11 games during his rookie season. With the addition of DeVonta Smith, Reagor stated that he looks forward to being a formidable WR duo on offense.
