DeVonta Smith gives back, purchases his mom a house with rookie contract

It is always great to see NFL stars giving back after making it big. Recently DeVonta Smith inked his rookie contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, worth $20 million. With that fully guaranteed contract, one of the first things Smith did was purchase his mother a brand new home. Smith posted the video on Instagram here:
Earlier this offseason, when asked what he would do with his first paycheck, DeVonta Smith said this:
“Just put it in the bank, that’s about it. This is what I’ve been working for, but ultimately I’m not done. I’m not playing this just to get one contract. I expect to get many more contracts coming. But ultimately, it just comes down to me working. If I keep working the way I’ve been working and handle my business, then that time will come.”
DeVonta truly seems like a fantastic, hard-working kid and fits the Philadelphia personality perfectly. Smith and the Eagles are currently going through their offseason workouts, with training camp looming around the corner next month.
