Flyers reportedly were in the mix for center Tyler Pitlick

A former Flyer almost made his way back home. Earlier today, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reported that the Seattle Kraken are expected to move center Tyler Pitlick today. While the Flyers were in the mix, Pitlick eventually was moved to the Calgary Flames for a draft pick.
Philly could use some depth at center following the departure of Nolan Patrick. Tyler Pitlick spent a season with the Flyers back in 2019 and had eight goals and 12 assists in 63 games while helping Philadelphia during their playoff push. This past off-season Pitlick signed a two-year deal with the Arizona Coyotes, scoring six goals in just 38 games before being selected by the Kraken.
Chuck Fletcher has been active during the early stages of the NHL offseason, acquiring defensemen Ryan Ellis from the Nashville Predators. During yesterday’s expansion draft, the Flyers lost Carsen Twarynski to the Seattle Kraken in a surprising move.
