Former NFL star picks Eagles as his sleeper team in 2021

Despite many analysts across the NFL predicting the Eagles to be amongst the NFL’s worst, one former NFL star thinks otherwise. Former Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib predicted the Philadelphia Eagles to be his sleeper team this upcoming season and had some high praise for their young stars.

“I think Jalen Hurts is a winner, I think Devonta Smith is going to be the Rookie of the Year, and if their O-line stays healthy, they’re going to be one of the best in the league.”

High praise from Talib, who made his broadcasting debut last season calling the Eagles-Cardinals game. Jalen Hurts has been impressing many reporters across the league following their joint practices this week with the New England Patriots. 

While many have been counting them out, the Eagles have a real shot at making some noise this upcoming season. With the easiest schedule in the NFL, if they can stay healthy and adjust to their new offense quickly, the NFC East better look out. Currently, Nick Sirianni and company have another week of joint practices ahead with the New York Jets.
