Former Eagles defensive end to miss 2021 season due to blood disorder

A tough blow for former Eagles defensive end Vinny Curry. Earlier this afternoon, Curry announced on Twitter he will miss the 2021 season due to a rare blood disorder. Curry got his spleen removed due to the needed procedure, but blood clots unfortunately formed. As a result, Vinny had to go on blood thinners which rules him out for upwards of six months.
Luckily, the way Curry described it, it sounds like he will be a full go for next season and will be fully healthy. Vinny Curry has spent eight seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, who drafted him in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. This past offseason, Curry left Philly and signed with the Jets on a one-year deal.
Currently, the Eagles are going through joint practices with the New York Jets ahead of their preseason finale on Friday. Hopefully, Curry has a speedy recovery and is back at full health as soon as possible.
