2 Eagles ruled out for Sunday’s opener against the Falcons

The Eagles will be a bit shorthanded when facing the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday. According to the team, both Landon Dickerson and Rodney McLeod will be out as they recover from their ACL tears. Both players were activated off the PUP list two weeks ago and likely needed some more time to shake the rust off before hitting the field.
Jonathan Gannon will likely start K’Von Wallace in McLeod’s absence, which he has done throughout the preseason. Wallace has looked very hot and cold so far, with his strength being in the run game. The Eagles’ secondary will need all the help they can get with Calvin Ridley, Kyle Pitts, and Hayden Hurst.
Without Dickerson, if Jason Kelce were to go down with an injury, Nate Herbig would likely slide in as the Eagles’ backup center, but besides that, not much is changed on offense. Brandon Brooks was limited the last few days, but he is all good to make his first start in over a year after tearing his Achilles.
There have been rumblings that Jordan Howard could be activated off the practice squad, and he is one of the four practice squad players protected this week. Philly is set to kick off in Atlanta at 1:00. With their injury list being extensive at points during training camp, it’s nice to see a nearly empty list for the first time in a while.
