Eagles sign a familiar face to the practice squad and other roster moves ahead of Dallas Week

The Eagles have bolstered their offensive line after losing Brandon Brooks to a pec strain. According to a team announcement, the Eagles have signed guard Jack Anderson to their active roster and have placed Brandon Brooks and Brandon Graham on injured reserve. Graham is done for the year after tearing his Achilles against the 49ers on Sunday.
Alongside those moves, they have also brought back tight end Richard Rodgers, signing him to their practice squad and releasing UDFA center Harry Crider. Going into Week Three, the Eagles protected Craig James, Sua Opeta, Elijah Riley, and Marvin Wilson on their practice squad.
Jack Anderson was on the Buffalo Bills practice squad and was drafted by the Bills during the 7th round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Anderson played at Texas Tech, where he started for several seasons but was cut from the active roster during training camp. He likely won’t see much time with Herbig and Opeta still behind Landon Dickerson, but it provides another practice body for the next few weeks.
Rodgers returning also leads some to believe that Zach Ertz might not be ready for Monday Night Football after testing positive for COVID-19. In that case, Dallas Goedert and Jack Stoll would be the likely starters, with Rodgers filling in as the third string.
