Eagles activate Zach Ertz from COVID-19/Reserve list

Some good news for the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of their Monday night matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. According to a team announcement, Zach Ertz has been activated from the COVID-19/Reserve list and looks to be able to play against the Cowboys this week. Ertz tested positive for COVID on Monday but made a speedy recovery due to being vaccinated.
With Zach Ertz able to go, the only uncertain players for Week Three are Jordan Mailata, Rodney McLeod, and Davion Taylor. McLeod and Taylor practiced yesterday but were limited while Mailata was out after suffering an MCL sprain in practice. It doesn’t seem likely that Jordan Mailata plays this week, but luckily it’s not considered a severe injury.
Dallas has been struggling with injuries and positive COVID cases, missing almost the entirety of their defensive line alongside several others, including Keanu Neal, who just tested positive. The Eagles had Richard Rodgers signed to the practice squad if Ertz wasn’t available, but that no longer seems to be an issue.
