2 teams remain interested in trading for Zach Ertz

While a move doesn’t seem likely, the Eagles still have a market for Zach Ertz. Earlier today, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler discussed the probability of trading Ertz following this off-season’s rumors and where he could land.
According to Fowler, a move isn’t being discussed, but the Eagles making a big move at the trade deadline should never be counted out. Since his return, Zach Ertz has developed a strong relationship with new head coach Nick Sirianni and looks to be content in Philadelphia.
If a trade were to happen, the Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts are the two most interested teams. Both of these teams have been long interested in Ertz, but an Indianapolis deal seems to be the best landing spot. Indy is trying to make a push, and Ertz would fit right in with Frank Reich and Carson Wentz.
The news of Dallas Goedert testing positive for COVID-19 only lessens the possibility of a trade anytime soon. Through five games this season, Ertz has just 14 receptions for 160 yards. Against the Panthers, he had just one catch for seven yards, but his production will likely increase on Thursday if Goedert is out.
