Chris Heck continues to tease 76ers Mixtape uniforms that have already been leaked

Although the 76ers’ new uniform has been leaked numerous times over the last few weeks, the team continues to tease the upcoming jerseys. Earlier today on Twitter, 76ers President Chris Heck tweeted a photo of a promotional ticket badge based on the forthcoming uniforms. The ticket features the jersey’s wordmark while featuring the Spectrum and the rainbow logo, which is featured on the side panels of the jersey.
Before this, Heck also tweeted out a photo of a sticker featuring Joel Embiid in the uniform but with most of it being hidden. Charles Bassey initially revealed the design on his Snapchat while @CamisasdaNBA tweeted a retail version that was leaked. Initially, the 76ers planned for a reveal in NFT form with their new sponsor Crytpo.com in November.
Why continue to poke at an unveiling when everyone already knows what is being called “Mixtape Edition” already looks like? After several of the team’s uniforms last season were widely disliked by the fanbase, the city loves the new design. Almost half of the Mixtape jerseys have leaked, so there’s no point in hiding them anymore.
These are expected to be the only new uniforms this season for Philadelphia, with the red statement jerseys coming back for the 2021/2022 season. Despite the criticism above, I’m not going to lie. The teasers Heck has revealed so far are incredible, but just release them already.
