Eagles remain silent during NFL Trade Deadline

After numerous rumors that a trade could occur, the Philadelphia Eagles remained silent during today’s NFL trade deadline. Overall there weren’t many moves, with every prominent player staying put outside of Von Miller yesterday afternoon. Several Eagles were linked to deals, including Fletcher Cox, Andre Dillard, Alex Singleton, and Eric Wilson.
Holding everyone makes sense, with Cox having the most appeal, but it is nearly impossible to move with his dead cap. The Eagles also need depth at tackle, and the potential returns for Dillard were likely not appealing.
Just because nothing occurred at the deadline doesn’t mean that trades won’t arise down the line. An offseason trade for Dillard seems highly probable if the Birds stick with Mailata and Lane Johnson (they will). With everyone staying in town, Philadelphia will continue to prepare for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Update:
Despite the trade deadline occurring 16 minutes ago, the Eagles sneak through and acquire cornerback Kary Vincent Jr. from the Denver Broncos for a 2022 6th round pick.
