You can thank Jalen Hurts for the Eagles’ new uniform combination

Jalen Hurts took full credit for the Eagles’ black pants that were worn today against the Denver Broncos. It was the first time ever wearing this color combination in franchise history and the Eagles beat the crap out of the Broncos. Jalen Hurts completed 16-of-23 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns on the day. Honestly, it should have been three touchdowns but one was dropped by an Eagles WR in the end zone (thanks, Quez).
Hurts told us that it was his idea to wear black pants and that he has been pushing for a new color combination for a while now. He also thanked Jeffrey Lurie for listening to his campaign for black pants. He also gave the most Jalen Hurts answer ever when asked why black pants and white jerseys by saying “It was just time.”
The last time we saw the all-black uniforms was in 2017 against the Broncos at home, when Philly scored 51 points to move to 8-1 on the season. Today, Philadelphia desperately needed a win to stay alive in the playoff hunt, and the black pants did the trick yet again.
With the one shell rule changing in the future, this could be the last season we see the black uniforms for quite some time.
