Report: Jalen Hurts “up in the air” to play Sunday

On Monday, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts met with the media and revealed that he would be ready to play Sunday. However, a report two days later says that this isn’t exactly the case. NFL reporter Ian Rapport told NFL Network this afternoon that Hurts’ status is “truly up in the air”.
This isn’t the greatest news to hear as the Eagles are just two days away from their matchup against the Jets. If the Eagles want any chance at a playoff spot, they need to beat New York, who is 3-8 on the year. The Eagles are coming off a horrific defeat against divisional rival New York Giants and looking to bounce back.
In his first season as a starting quarterback, Hurts has led the team to a 5-7 record, but had his worst game this past Sunday, throwing three interceptions. With a report coming out earlier today saying that Jeffery Lurie and Howie Roseman are “split” on the quarterback’s future, Hurts must end this season on a good note. If Jalen Hurts can’t play on Sunday, it will officially be “Minshew Mania” time in Philadelphia.
