Noted drama queen Ben Simmons likes Instagram post about Damian Lillard wanting to play with him

Connections between the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard, and Ben Simmons keep on coming. Last week, Dame did a Reddit AMA with Gatorade. During the AMA, he noted that Ben Simmons was a Top 3 defensive player in the NBA.
Then, news broke that the Blazers parted ways with their long-time GM Neil Olshey amidst an investigation and an incredibly disappointing season. Between Olshey getting fired, and the issues with head coach Chauncey Billups, Lillard has grown increasingly frustrated with the franchise’s moves.
Shams also reported that he had multiple sources that Lillard wanted to play with Ben Simmons.
“Lillard intends to give the Trail Blazers organization time to find its next leader of basketball operations. But beyond the front office component, the face of the franchise still wants significant changes to the roster. Multiple sources have told The Athletic that Lillard would like to play with Philadelphia 76ers three-time All-Star Ben Simmons. The Trail Blazers’ league-worst defense would instantly improve, and sharing a backcourt with a non-shooter could work given Lillard’s high-volume usage.”
After the report was released, Dame took to Twitter and said “These ifs love drama too damn much.”
That’s definitely true and we all know Shams and his reports involving Ben Simmons. The majority of them seem to be coming from the desk of Klutch Sports.
You know who loves drama? The exact guy Dame reportedly wants to play with. Ben Simmons. This loser was on Instagram liking posts about the report from earlier from Bleacher Report about how Dame allegedly wants to play with him.
Definitely something to keep an eye on, but I don’t think any move is evident. The Sixers want a haul for Ben Simmons and have stood firm on their asking price.
I don’t think CJ McCollum gets the deal done. If anything, Damian Lillard coming to Philadelphia to play with Joel Embiid and sending Ben Simmons to Portland would seem more likely.
Shoutout Ben Simmons though, still acting like baby and lurking around social media while the 76ers continue to struggle without him on the court.
The Sixers are back in action after a weekend off tonight against the Charlotte Hornets.
