What do the Eagles Playoff chances look like following Sunday’s games?

As we know, due to the COVID-ridden Washington Football Team, the Eagles game that was supposed to be played yesterday was postponed until Tuesday evening at 7 PM ET.
Nevertheless, even with Philadelphia not yet active in Week 15, the games that were played have changed the looks NFC Playoff Picture making things slightly more interesting.
Battle for final wildcard spot:
- 7-7 Saints (Eagles have tiebreaker)
- 6-7 Washington
- 6-7 Vikings
- 6-7 Eagles
In my article previewing this week’s slate of games and playoff implications, I noted that the Falcons need to step up and beat the 49ers and that we should actively be rooting against the Saints and the Panthers.
The Panthers were the only team that rose to the occasion.
San Francisco’s victory over Atlanta was frustrating as they stack up more wins and continue to remain ahead. The 49ers also hold the tie-breaker over Philly if playoff chances were to come to that. Technically, this did not alter the playoff picture as they remain in control of the 6th seed Wild Card spot, but the Saint’s abominable 9-0 win over the Buccaneers in Sunday Night Football was far from ideal.
New Orleans sky-rocketed 4 spots in this playoff race to the 7th seed thereby knocking Washington out of the picture and dropping the Eagles down to the 10th seed. Now we fall behind the Rams, 49ers, Saints, Washington, and Vikings in the hunt for a Wild Card spot.
It appears to be daunting right now, but the Eagles should not be in panic mode just yet. Unlike the 49ers, Philadelphia would own the tie-breaker over the Saints.
The two main things I harped on prior to this weekend is that the Eagles have to beat Washington, and the Bears have to beat the Vikings. As of yet, we are still anticipating this action so the most important games are still to come.
The Seahawks also should lose to the Rams so just to remove the chance of them coming in and pulling a New Orleans.
These upcoming games Monday and Tuesday night will give us a much better feel for if this Saints jump will play any long-term effect towards our playoff chances. For right now we have to sit back and say go Bears, go Eagles, and screw the Seahawks.
