Eagles activate linebacker from Reserve/COVID-19 list

Earlier today, the Eagles announced they had activated linebacker Shaun Bradley from the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Philadelphia has activated several players from the Reserve/COVID-19 list this week, including Andre Dillard and three others yesterday morning. With the NFL’s new COVID protocols, their entire list could return by Sunday. The new rules only require a five-day quarantine and players can return without testing if they’re asymptomatic.

Having Bradley back is vital to the their linebacker depth. Alex Singleton and T.J. Edwards have been the starters, but Bradley is the next man up if either suffers an injury. The only other middle linebacker is Davion Taylor, who is currently on injured reserve and potentially done for the season.

After Bradley was activated, they still have four players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Derek Barnett is the only significant name remaining, and he could likely return ahead of Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team.
