DeSean Jackson congratulates DeVonta Smith on new rookie receiving record

DeVonta Smith made Eagles history in last night’s game vs. Dallas, breaking DeSean Jackson’s rookie receiving record set in 2008.

Smith’s 41 receiving yards put him at 916 for the season, surpassing Jackson’s prior record of 912 yards.

Following the milestone, D-Jack took to Instagram to congratulate the young star:

Albeit DeSean’s record was during a 16-game season, Smith beat the mark on 16 fewer targets.

Quite remarkable for a rookie WR in the league’s top rushing offense.
