Josh Sweat, Miles Sanders’ status for Wild Card matchup against Buccaneers revealed

The Philadelphia Eagles could be without one of their key defensive players when they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday. Nick Sirianni spoke to the media this afternoon about his team’s status for this weekend and mentioned Josh Sweat as a potential inactive.
Eagles Status Report for January 14th

Josh Sweat
Sirianni announced that Sweat is officially questionable with abdominal pain but is back in the building today. Sweat missed practice with what they listed as an illness throughout the week.
Sweat being back in the building is a good sign for his availability. He will likely play if he’s close to full health since it’s the playoffs, but we won’t know for sure until Sunday.
Miles Sanders
After missing the end of the regular season, Sanders told the media that he would play against Tampa Bay. Sanders suffered a broken hand and was spotted in practice with a notable brace on his hand.
With it potentially raining on Sunday, the Eagles will certainly lean on the run game more than usual, so it’s great to have Sanders back in the mix.
Nate Herbig
Despite having the week off last week, Herbig is still questionable with an ankle injury. The Eagles’ right guard has been the weak link of their offensive line but has still had an average season. If he’s out, Sua Opeta is next in line for Philadelphia.
Tampa Bay
The Buccaneers had numerous key players miss practice during the week, including Tom Brady and Mike Evans, but things are looking up for them. Bruce Arians announced that their only inactives are wide receiver Cyril Grayson and Ronald Jones.
