Game Preview: 76ers look to bounce back on the road against the Orlando Magic

The Philadelphia 76ers are finally back in action tonight after getting destroyed by the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night. Having two days off after such an emotional week of Sixers basketball was less than ideal for 76ers fans but tonight, Joel Embiid and company look to get back on track against the Orlando Magic.
The 76ers have won seven straight games against the Orlando and enter tonight a perfect 3-0 on the season against the Magic, looking for a regular season sweep of the series. Before getting the crap beat out of them by the Brooklyn Nets, the Sixers won eight of 10 games.
They will enter tonight in third place in the Eastern Conference, a half game behind the Milwaukee Bucks in second, and three games behind the East-leading Miami Heat.
As for the Magic, they sit in the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings at 18-50, but will enter tonight on a two game winning streak after beating the Minnesota Timberwolves at home Friday night 118-110.

Even with the Sixers shooting 32% on Thursday night, they still knocked down 14 three pointers. They average over 14 three pointers a game. If they hit one against the Magic, you win $200.

Bounce Back Game for the 76ers
The 76ers shot a miserable 32 percent from the floor against the Nets, including 14-of-36 from three point range. Joel Embiid was the only player on the Sixers that actually showed up to play, scoring 27 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in the losing effort.
James Harden had arguably his worst game of the entire season against the Nets scoring just 11 points on 3-of-17 shooting from the floor. Tyrese Maxey, only attempted four field goals the entire game against the Nets. It was embarrassing.
The good news is that I simply don’t see that happening tonight or really, at any point during the rest of the season. Tyrese Maxey has proven that he can bounce back after a rough outing. Look no further to when Embiid told Maxey he was trash after a bad performance against the Raptors, only to see him respond to the criticism with a stellar game against the Nets.
After the game against the Nets, James Harden took to the podium after the Nets game saying that the loss and his performance was a humbling experience after everything was going perfectly since he joined the Sixers. No doubt that Harden will come back hungry tonight after what happen Thursday.

Prediction
Yes, Orlando has won back-to-back games but if you think that Joel Embiid and James Harden are going to take the court tonight on two days rest after being embarrassed on national television and not win this game then I’m really not sure what to tell you.
The 76ers have plenty at stake tonight. With a loss and a Boston Celtics win this afternoon against the Dallas Mavericks, the 76ers would fall out of their division lead in the Atlantic. I full expect this team to get back on track and beat up on a bad Orlando Magic team.
