Free Agency: Eagles one of several teams showing interest in star safety

While the Eagles have added defensive talent this offseason, they still need help in the secondary.
Tyrann Mathieu remains the top safety available and he reportedly has a long list of potential suitors, including the Eagles:
Numerous teams would love to sign Tyrann Mathieu, though execs I’ve spoken w/this week don’t feel he’s in a rush. The 4x All-Pro is a GREAT player w/interest from #Cowboys, #Colts, #Saints, #Broncos, #Eagles, #Ravens, #Steelers + #Cowboys (will Jerry Jones spend?) – among others.

Once top free agents Marcus Williams and Justin Reid were off the market, Philadelphia brought back Anthony Harris on a cheap one-year deal. Beyond him, the Eagles only have Marcus Epps, K’Von Wallace, and Jared Mayden (who?) with experience at the position.
Mathieu, who turns 30 in May, spent the last three seasons with Kansas City as the captain of that defense. The three-time All-Pro has recorded 213 combined tackles, 13 INTs, and 27 pass breakups during his tenure with the Chiefs.
The Honey Badger is undoubtedly looking for a hefty deal, with his projected contract being around $15M/year. Mathieu is remaining patient throughout this process, and the second wave of free agency is where Eagles GM Howie Roseman likes to find value.
