Former Pro Bowler to announce Eagles’ pick during 2022 NFL Draft

The Philadelphia Eagles will have a familiar face announcing their third-round pick tonight.
Ahead of the start of the 2022 NFL Draft, the league revealed that numerous teams would have former players announcing their day two selections. For the Eagles, former long snapper Jon Dorenbos will be announcing their 83rd pick.
Having a former player reveal the pick from the podium is a long-standing tradition in the NFL. Last year, Philadelphia had Mike Golic on the stage to announce their selection of Landon Dickerson.
Dorenbos was with the team for over ten years, signing with the Eagles in 2006 before being traded to the New Orleans Saints in 2017. During his time in Philadelphia, he was named to two Pro Bowls in 2009 and 2014.
Tonight’s two rounds are crucial for Philly, who still need to solidify their secondary, looking for a replacement at cornerback alongside safety.
