Eagles fan shoots his shot with NFL Network reporter on Draft Day 3
One of the most recognizable Eagles fans has featured prominently in NFL Network’s Draft coverage, mainly in the front row by the stage. So it was no surprise when his role increased for a quick crowd work spot with the reporter running the show. However, what happened next was not what anyone expected.
In full Eagles regalia, The Philly Sports Guy shot his shot with the wonderful Rachel Bonnetta:
At first glance, I can understand why some people found this creepy. A female reporter trying to do her job gets hit on by some sleazy Eagles fan. I get it! The headlines write themselves.
HOWEVER. The whole thing is clearly a bit, and anyone expressing outrage more than 30 minutes after seeing the clip is just looking for something to be mad about.
I mean, just look closely at their interaction. The fan’s delivery should have already let everyone know it’s a bit. Still not convinced? She hands him a $5 bill for gassing her up on live TV. See for yourself.

See? Just a harmless bit of fun on the third day of The NFL Draft.
Plus, if you’re a fan of Rachel Bonnetta like I am, you know she always comes with the jokes. She had them a decade ago when she made soccer videos on YouTube with KickTV, and she’s brought them with her to NFL Network.
Am I jealous he got to chop it up with my lifelong crush? Absolutely. Am I going to cry myself to sleep tonight wishing I was him? There’s a distinct possibility I will.
Regardless of my emotional battles, this was a nice little laugh during one of American sports’s most boring television events. It also helped distract us from the Eagles trading back in the draft despite us waiting all day to see a 5th round pick.
