America is Dead: The FDA has prepared an order to ban Juul vaping products forever

Ladies and gentlemen, America truly is a dying country. I know I spent the good part of last week trying to convince you all that America was back and greatest place on Earth but it appears that I have led you all astray. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is reportedly preparing an order to ban Juul Labs vaping products from the market.
Following a two-year review, the no fun police at the FDA decided that Juul is responsible for the surge in youth vaping over the past decade. Leave it to Gen Z to completely ruin yet another good thing for adults in this country.
Back in 2019, the FDA banned sweet and fruity flavors for all vaping devices and the result was Juul’s sales heading in a complete downfall over the last few years. In 2020, the FDA started a full review of all vaping products and made companies submit evidence to show that their products were “not appealing to youth” but never reached a decision on Juul and other industry leaders such as Vuse, blu and NJOY.
Now, Juul is the first to be banned by the FDA. Thanks, Gen Z.
Honestly, this is complete bullshit. They even acknowledge in their studies that e-cigarettes are much healthier than regular cigarettes and that over time, “research is suggesting that e-cigarettes will benefit public health” but since the youth can’t keep their dirty paws off of them, they have to start removing products in hope of curving behavior.
It seems to be working. Back in 2020, 19.6 percent of high school students admitted to smoking vapes (rats) and as of last year, that number has fallen dramatically to 11 percent. To be clear, if you just started smoking a Juul and didn’t use it as a replacement for cigarettes to help you quit, then you’re an idiot too.
However, as a millennial, I’ve seen myself and several other people I know successfully stop smoking regular cigs by switching to an e-cig. I’m more of a NJOY guy myself but that’s beyond the point.
Still no word on what the FDA wants to do with actual cigarettes or hell, even prescription pain killers that kill hundreds of thousands of people, including youth and young adults every year but I guess that doesn’t matter when you have big tobacco and big Pharma greasing your pockets right?
Overall, I just don’t agree with any type of government body telling people what they can or cannot do., even more so when there are actual studies that prove it’s safe than the alternative. That just doesn’t make sense to me.
We’ll see how this all shakes out. I’ll probably lose my mind if they ban NJOY next. From there, what do we do next, FDA? Should I just go back to smoking heaters and smelling like smoke all of the time? I’m not sure if I have it in me.
I did find some success in the ZYN Pouches, but once big tobacco turns their evil eyes on that type of nicotine product, I’m sure that will be next up to ban from society.
Just leave us alone, man. Christ.
