Cameron Payne posts Uncle Bill’s hate during visit to Jersey Shore, Philly with teammate Mikal Bridges

Sun guard Cameron Payne visited Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore over the holiday weekend with teammate and area native Mikal Bridges. While it stings the one that got away is showing his teammate around the City of Brotherly Love, I can live with it. However, when his buddy posts slanderous content against a regional institution, I get a bit hot under the collar.
Payne’s Uncle Bill’s review on Instagram:

Wait…never again? What the hell happened inside of Uncle Bills Pancake House? Have the 16 year olds that run the P-House during the summer months screwed things up for our sweet Cameron? I sure hope not but given the direction of Gen Z in this country, I wouldn’t be surprised.
I will say that it’s not 100% clear he’s posting about Uncle Bill’s, but it’s hard not to take it that way. You may not be the biggest pancake fan in the world, but I can’t be the only one a little bothered by this guy talking crazy on IG.
Are they the best pancakes I’ve ever had? No. But my primal sense of regional pride doesn’t care about that. Sure, I’m mostly talking like this because I’m still salty about the Sixers trading Mikal Bridges to Phoenix several years ago. My pride in Philadelphia is only outweighed by my hatred for it.
Fortunately, Bridges made sure to right the ship, bringing Payne back to Philly for a cheesesteak. Though it seems he left him on his own to find the right one.

I have no doubt Philly residents jumped into his DMs to inform him of his mistake. Payne smartly corrected the error, as there would have been folks cooking him in his DMs for a minimum of 24 hours.
I’d say I’m a little upset with Mikal for letting his teammate slander his the Jersey Shore like that, but his hometown team literally traded him after drafting him. So that would be a bit unfair of me.
