Flyers drop new Reverse Retro jerseys, matching warmup pants for 2022-23 season
The 3-1 Flyers have officially dropped their Reverse Retro alternate jerseys along with the rest of the NHL. They plan to don the sweaters in eight matchups this season, along with a pair of slick warmup pants prior to each contest.
The Flyers released a video unveiling the Reverse Retro jerseys in all their glory:
Yeah. These are sweet.
Sure, it’s basically just a white hockey sweater with some funky sleeves, but it’s a successful twist on the looks of the past. I’m a particularly big fan of how the logo on the front looks.
That was a nice video, but this shot of the newly extended Travis Sanheim rocking the new gear is a sight to behold. Sanny is looking CLEAN.

Plus, we got a closer look at those track pant-style warmups from the 80s. Apparently the look only lasted two seasons, so we’re all fortunate such a good looking pair of pants became available 40-odd years later.
I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely going to need a pair of these pants. I’m already a big fan of all things tracksuit related, and these are right up my alley.
The team is hot right now, and Torts has them playing some hard-nosed hockey. Sure, they came back to earth a bit after finally losing to the Panthers, but it’s been a fun start to the season regardless.
Like I always say, however much fun you’re having now, you’d have even more fun in a pair of warmup pants. This is a perfect situation in which to test this theory.
