MLS Expansion Draft 2022- Philadelphia Union leave six players unprotected including Alejandro Bedoya

The Philadelphia Union have announced who they will be making available in the upcoming MLS Expansion Draft for the newly minted St. Louis CITY SC.
It should come as no shock that big names and stars are amongst those on the protected list. So no, you don’t have to worry about Daniel Gazdag shipping out west to score goals on the banks of the Mississippi river. But that isn’t to say there isn’t a surprise addition to the list of unprotected players. Union captain Alejandro Bedoya will be there for the taking should St. Louis choose to make him one of their five selections.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Bedoya get selected. Any expansion team is likely to be on the lookout for a veteran leader. The 35 year old would certainly provide that to the new club.
