Eagles News: Encouraging injury updates on Reed Blankenship, Lane Johnson

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles blew out the Giants yesterday afternoon 48-22, securing themselves a spot in the postseason.
Philadelphia came out worse for wear, however, sustaining injuries to multiple players. On Monday morning, the Eagles received good news regarding safety Reed Blankenship and star RT Lane Johnson.
The #Eagles received good news on S Reed Blankenship’s knee following scans today. It’s a low-grade sprain, which makes it a short-term injury, sources say. Timeline still TBD but not a candidate for IR. Positive development for the Birds, who are a bit banged up at safety.

#Eagles RT Lane Johnson, who went down Sunday with an abdominal injury, did not suffer a major injury and is considered day-to-day, source said. Some good news.

Blankenship was carted off in the second quarter but appears to have avoided serious injury, a good sign for an Eagles team already thin at the position. Without Blankenship, the Eagles have just Marcus Epps and K’Von Wallace at safety with CJ Gardner-Johnson on IR.
Lane Johnson left the game in the 4th quarter but later stated that he could’ve stayed in if needed. The former All-Pro hasn’t surrendered a sack in over two seasons.
Punter Arryn Siposs, who was carted off after attempting to run for a first down following a blocked punt, has been ruled out indefinitely with a lower-leg injury.
The Eagles have signed veteran punter Brett Kern to replace him in the meantime.
