Birds Bets: Eagles are now 6-point underdogs to Cowboys after Jalen Hurts’ injury news

After opening up as one-point underdogs for their Week 16 matchup in Dallas, the Eagles are now six-point dogs following the Jalen Hurts injury news.
Monday afternoon, multiple pundits reported that the Eagles quarterback sprained his throwing shoulder during Sunday’s win over Chicago. The injury isn’t considered season ending, but there’s a good chance he misses at least one or two games.
Hurts hasn’t been officially ruled out for the team’s Christmas Eve contest in Dallas, but as the betting lines indicate, it looks like Gardner Minshew will be the man under center.
Updated look at the Eagles-Cowboys betting lines:
SPREAD | TOTAL | MONEY | |
Eagles | +6 (-110) | O 46 (-110) | +210 |
Cowboys | -6 (-110) | U 46 (-110) | -250 |
All odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.
Not only did the spread shift significantly in favor of Dallas, the point total and money line odds also moved. When the odds opened, the point total was set at O/U 51 and the money line for both teams sat at -110. The odds-makers clearly believe Dallas has the advantage now that Hurts’ availability is in doubt.
I don’t know about you guys, but that +210 Eagles money line is looking pretty enticing. First off, Hurts could still theoretically play. Those odds will revert back to a pick ’em if he gets cleared. Jump on it while you can.
And even if he doesn’t play, Minshew is one of the best backup quarterbacks in the NFL and has enough talent around him to pull off a Christmas Eve upset.
Empty your bank accounts on the Eagles and thank me later.
That was a joke pls don’t wager your hard earned money on sports just because I told you to.
