Eagles sent Doug Pederson cheesesteaks for beating Cowboys Week 15

The Eagles apparently still have a soft-spot for their former Super Bowl-winning Head Coach Doug Pederson. The franchise showed its appreciation for the now-Jaguars coach leading his team to an overtime victory over the Cowboys in typical Philly fashion: sending free cheesesteaks.
The Birds reached out to Philly’s Finest in Jacksonville to hook Doug Pederson and his staff up with $800+ worth of cheesesteaks:
As you can see from the photos in the tweet, this isn’t your usual out-of-state cheesesteak with mushrooms, peppers, or whatever other crap they put on. They’ve got an Eagles Super Bowl flag, jerseys, and a box of Liscio’s rolls to serve up their steaks.
Beautiful.
Granted, I have no idea if the place is any good. However, seeing all of that decor, as well as the restaurant’s commitment. It also has an icebar to keep beers cold. If you know me, you know I like an ice-cold brew, so that adds points as well.
It’s also nice to see the franchise still cares for Dougie P. Based on how he celebrated the win, it’s clear he still has a fondness for the Eagles (or at hatred for the Cowboys)/
While his firing was unceremonious at best, Big Balls Doug will endure as a Philadelphia legend for his time on the Eagles sideline. This win over Dem Boyz helped cement that legacy even further.
Of course, this lovely gesture was mistaken by Cowboys fans as weakness. Rather, it’s love between a coach and a Super Bowl winning coach, something Cowboys haven’t ever experienced. Jimmy Johnson knows.
Regardless, any time he beats an NFC East team, I’ll have a smile on my face as big as his when he sees Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream.
