Minshew is a real life movie character. He’s the prototypical QB1 from every single sports comedy movie. The guy was literally living in a van that spent a lot of time parked outside the Eagles’ NovaCare practice over the offseason.

Notable Gardner Minshew Stats
On top of the persona, Minshew is a damn good quarterback and has the numbers to prove it at the NFL level.
Since his rookie season in 2019, Minshew has the BEST TD-INT ratio in the NFL when pressured. He’s thrown 17 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Over his career, Minshew has 41 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions. It’s the third-best TD-INT ratio over the last four years, trailing only Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes.
Minshew started two games for the Eagles last season. Against the New York Jets, he completed 20-of-25 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns. Miles Sanders carried the ball 24 times that game for 120 yards and Dallas Goedert was Minshew’s primary receiver, hauling in six receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

Minshew’s second start was the final game of the regular season for the Eagles last year against the Dallas Cowboys. The majority of starters rested, and Minshew completed 19-of-33 passes for 186 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Quez Watkins led the Eagles receivers with five receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown. Smitty hauled in three receptions for 41 yards.
Of course, this season is much different for the Eagles. They are 13-1 on the year and have a chance to secure the No. 1 seed and a first round bye in the playoffs with a win in Dallas on Saturday night. The Eagles offense is STACKED with weapons and if Minshew can properly manage the game under center, the game should fall in the Eagles’ favor.
